On Monday 11th January, we had our theme launch in Owls Class, during which the children were able to enjoy a taster of Disasters, Dangers and Deadly Animals through a variety of activities.
At Queen Margaret Primary School this week we had our anti-bullying week, with a focus on developing our understanding of what bullying looks like and what we can do to stop it.
In Owls Class, we learnt about anti-bullying through a range of activities, including: poster making, discussions, and acting. We had great fun doing each of these activities, which had a central focus of what the word "empathetic" means and what an empathetic person can do to help stop bullying. Owls learnt the following about empathy:
Each of the statements above encapsulate our learning from our anti-bullying week and the work produced reflects how we have developed our understanding of empathy and how we can use it as a tool to stop bullying. |
