Keep up to date with that we're doing!
In Science and Computing, we have been working with Mr Nolan, learning about how sound is created, and recording and editing our own voices. We have been using the Audacity programme to change the pitch and speed of our voices.

,In Maths we are learning about fractions. Here we are making equivalent fractions by folding paper into different sections, drawing diagrams and writing the fractions as numbers.
We started by making a note of all the materials and tools we would need, then drawing a design of the ship and its shields.
Next came the challenge of cutting out the parts - not easy to cut the thick cardboard needed. Constructing our ships meant we had to fit them together carefully, making sure all the joins were well covered with masking tape. Painting the ships was messy, fun and took a long time! Our favourite part was designing and colouring the shields. What a colourful, detailed, varied mixture of shields we came up with! The final step was to use our sewing skills to stitch a sail and attach it to the mast. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of our work and our finished ships below. |
